Ausiello over at EW gives us some juicy tidbits about the Gossip Girl Previews and talks of a “dark plot”.  Hmmm…sounds pretty interesting.

Ausiello: That’s a coincidence, ’cause it seems like forever since you asked about Gossip Girl. Contrary to popular opinion, Ask Ausiello is not a single lane, ego-driven road to nowhere; it’s a two-way street. Always remember that. Now, about Gossip: Your eyes were not deceiving you. That new Season 2 promo does, in fact, show Nate and Serena sucking some serious face in the Hamptons. And I assure you it’s not a fantasy sequence.

Ausiello: This fall, the show will embark on its darkest plot to date. For more on that, head to your local newsstand this Friday, pick up the new issue of EW and turn to my column on page 55. I’ve heard of no plans to have any of the characters we know come out or even dabble in the second season—well, aside from little Eric van der Woodsen, por supuesto, who I’m told will have a love interest or two. Still, if the book series is any indication, Gossip will be getting gayer by the season, according to Penn Badgley. “By the end of the series, I think they got so bored writing the same things for 12 years, they were like, ‘Let’s just make ‘em all gay,’ ” Penn says. “Chuck ends up gay and has a monkey on his shoulder that dresses in similar outfits.” Oooh, please tell me that’s true on the show, too.
