Some great GG scoop on Blair, Nate & the “older woman”. From Kristin @ E!Online:
Nair, we hardly knew ye.
Inside sources are spilling on the latest romantic entanglements on Gossip Girl’s Upper East Side, including news that the show’s original golden couple, Nate and Blair (”Nair”), aren’t reconciling any time soon—thanks to a certain new cougar who’s ready to pounce.
This pretty (older) kitty is none other than Mädchen Amick (ER, Viva Laughlin), who, according to CW insiders, will appear in the season premiere on Sept. 1 and is expected to hang around for four or five episodes.
Word is, Mädchen is heavily involved in Nate’s storylines and also has “a surprising connection to another new character on the show.” (The kind of connection that juicy twists are made of…and that’s too good to reveal.)
Still, if Chace Crawford (Nate) has his way, this won’t be the last of his love interests. “Nate’s kissed every girl on the show, and I think it’s going to keep going toward that direction,” he dished to me at a recent CW event. “Well, except Mrs. Van der Woodsen, but give it time!”
As for Queen B, don’t feel too sorry—she’ll have another boy to keep her occupied all season long. “You’re not blind. You can see there’s chemistry [between Blair and Chuck],” Leighton Meester [Blair] told me while shooting her upcoming guest spot on HBO’s Entourage. “It’s cute. But I think this time around it might be different because the first time it was just like this drunken, passionate thing, and it just went away, like, the very next day. I don’t think Blair really wanted it, but maybe this time she does. Maybe she needs him. Maybe he completes her.”
